Back in the Swing of Things

Well, I've been back in Pittsburgh and back in school for a couple weeks now.  For the most part, everything is pretty much the same as last semester, just a lot colder.  Upon my return the city was covered in snow and it just kept coming down.  Luckily for me, its been warmer lately (in the 40s, so glorious!).
One new development is that I've started a field placement working at the Carnegie Museum of Art and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Special Collections working on the "Teenie" Harris project.  I'm learning how to catalog, create finding aids, and other archival techniques for a photographic collection.  So far so good.  One aspect that I really like about it is that I'm learning a lot about local Pittsburgh history. 
Other than that, its same old same old.  I'm hoping to make a trip to Cleveland next weekend to check out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well as drop in on some family.  Its only a 2 hour drive.  As long as the weather permits I think it should be a fun little day trip.  I realized I need to get some road trips in b/c time flies and I feel like I'm gonna be back home in CA in no time....well...here's hoping that will happen as well.

Back in PA

After 3 short weeks home in CA I've returned to Pittsburgh. Its covered in snow and the weather report is expecting snow showers every day through Saturday.
